The company today officially launched SK-LSR655A/B, an addition-cure silicone sealant specifically engineered for extreme environments.
The product ensures long-term stable performance across a wide temperature range from -120 °C to 260 °C, and can withstand short-term exposure to ultra-low temperatures down to -190 °C.
It offers a revolutionary encapsulation and protection solution for photovoltaic systems operating in harsh environments such as plateaus, deserts, polar regions, and outer space, bridging the gap in domestically produced ultra-wide temperature range sealants for PV applications.
Key Product Advantages
1. Extreme Temperature Resistance
Long-Term Stability: Operates continuously from -120 °C to 260 °C, surpassing conventional silicone rubber limits (-60 °C to 200 °C);
Short-Term Peak: Withstands -190 °C liquid nitrogen shock;
Low-Temperature Flexibility: Maintains over 90% elongation at -115 °C.
2. Photovoltaic-Grade Key Properties
Optical Transparency: Visible light transmittance ≥91%;
Non-Corrosive Encapsulation: Addition-cure system with zero by-products during curing;
Double 85 Resistance: Less than 5% physical property change after 1000 hours of 85 °C/85% RH aging test.
3. Plateau PV: Prevents embrittlement from freeze–thaw cycles at -40 °C, remains elastic at -120 °C to resist ice crystal stress;
Desert PV: Resists yellowing and aging at 80 °C; transmittance loss <3% after long-term exposure to 260 °C;
BIPV Curtain Walls: UV-induced sealant failure avoided; passed full-spectrum UV-A/B/C weathering tests;
Space PV Systems: Withstands vacuum cold welding and thermal cycling; no cracking after 1000 cycles from -190 °C to 150 °C.
