Epoxy-Modified Silicone Fluid
Epoxy-functional silicone fluids are reactive silicones modified with epoxy groups—typically glycidyl ether or cycloaliphatic types—attached to the siloxane backbone. These materials exhibit excellent adhesion, chemical reactivity, and interfacial wetting properties. They can undergo cationic UV curing or ring-opening reactions with amines or anhydride curing agents. Widely used in UV-curable coatings, adhesives, electronic encapsulants, textile treatments, and composite systems, they enhance adhesion strength, flexibility, and weatherability of the final formulation.
